Costa Rica: Great Birding Great Food
January 18th, 2015 @ 6:00 pm
Lake Region Audubon
Fee $10.00 includes dinner and drinks

Join our in-staff naturalist and photographer Reinier Munguia on a journey through Costa Rica, one of the most exciting destinations in Central America. Learn which are the highlight species and the best food dishes and where to find them. Yes, you're invited to taste some Costa Rican food just before the presentation. A typical costa rican dish called "casado" is on the menu for you tonight.

With more than 7 years of experience leading birding and photography tours, Reinier's knowledge of the local fauna combined with his photographic skills brings you an unforgettable experience. With more than 850 species of birds alone, Costa Rica is considered one of the countries with the largest biodiversity in the world. Learn about the tropical ecology of the country, and how its geography and climate are so important in maintaining such diversity. While birds top off the list, in this presentation you'll have a chance to see many other animals that inhabit the tropical rainforest.

In addition, there will be a raffle of two matted photos of birds from Costa Rica taken by Reinier on a recent trip.

Note: Two special feathered guests will make their appearance during the presentation - you may want to have your picture taken with them!

Spaces are limited to 25 participants and reservation is required. Please click the link below to register or contact
